BRTC Ceramide Boosting Mask — When the Problem Is the Barrier, Not the Moisture

You can drench dehydrated skin in hydration every night and still wake up tight. That is not a moisture problem, it is a barrier problem: the layer that holds water in is not doing it, so everything you apply leaves again by morning. Adding more water to a leaking bucket is not the fix.

The BRTC Ceramide Boosting Mask goes after the bucket. Ten 25ml sheets with 5X Ceramide Layering, a milk essence texture, and a light fit sheet that stays put.

Who It's For

Skin that is dehydrated, tight or has a stressed barrier — especially after winter, air conditioning, a course of actives, or a flight. Ceramides are the lipids that make up the barrier itself, which is why this is the one to reach for when hydration alone has stopped working.

This is the barrier one of the three. The Boosting Mask is vitamin, for dullness; the Real Collagen Boosting Mask is for firmness. All in the BRTC collection. See also Ceramides, Damaged Skin Barrier, Dry & Dehydrated Skin and Korean Masks.

If your barrier is genuinely damaged, a mask is support rather than treatment — how to repair a damaged skin barrier covers the order, and Sensitive Skin what to pair it with.

How to Use It

  1. Cleanse and tone first.
  2. Lay the sheet over the face and smooth it into the contours.
  3. Leave on 15 to 20 minutes. Take it off before it dries out — a drying sheet pulls moisture back out of your skin.
  4. Press the remaining essence in. Do not rinse.
  5. Seal with a moisturizer, ideally one with ceramides too.
  6. Two or three times a week, or nightly for a week if your skin is in a bad state.

Questions

What do ceramides actually do?
They are the lipids your skin barrier is built from. Topping them up supports the layer that holds water in, which is why they help when plain hydration does not.

How is it different from the other two Boosting Masks?
Ceramide for a stressed barrier and dehydration. Vitamin for dullness. Real Collagen for firmness.

Can I use it every day?
Yes, for a short stretch if your skin is struggling. Otherwise two or three times a week is plenty.

My skin is oily but tight. Is this for me?
Very likely. Oily and dehydrated at once is a barrier issue, and stripping skin further makes it worse.
