APRILSKIN TXA Niacinamide 99 Deep Cleanser — The Chewy Pink One

This cleanser is pink and it is stretchy. That sounds like a gimmick and it mostly is not: the chewy, bubble-gum texture is what lets it cling to skin instead of sliding off it, so it can lift blackheads, pore-clogging debris and excess sebum on the way out.

It also works as a wash-off mask, which is the more interesting way to use it.

What's Inside

Niacinamide at 20,000ppm — that is 2%, and it is the active doing the work on tone, pores and texture.

5 types of Ceramide (NP, NS, AS, EOP, AP) and 10 types of Hyaluronic Acid, plus Allantoin, Madecassoside and APRILSKIN's patented Ultra Moist P3. That is an unusual amount of barrier support to put in something you rinse off, and it is why the cleanse does not strip.

There is also Salicylic Acid in there — a BHA, which is the ingredient that actually gets into a pore.

How to Use It

As a daily cleanser

1. Work an appropriate amount into a rich foam.
2. Massage gently over the face.
3. Rinse thoroughly.

As a wash-off mask

1. Apply a thin layer to the face, avoiding the eye and lip areas.
2. Leave it for 1 minute.
3. Add water, work it into a foam, and rinse off.

Questions

How is this different from the Toning Shot 99 Serum?
They are built as consecutive steps, not alternatives. This is the cleanse — it lifts blackheads and pore debris, then rinses away. The serum is the leave-on treatment that follows, with tranexamic acid at 3% and niacinamide at 5%. Most people who want tone and pore care use both.

Cleanser or mask?
Both. Daily as a foam wash; once or twice a week as a one-minute wash-off mask on the areas where blackheads collect. The mask use is where the chewy texture earns its keep.

Do I still need a separate makeup remover?
APRILSKIN builds it as an all-in-one that takes off makeup and SPF. For heavy or waterproof makeup, an oil cleanser first is still the safer route.

Will it dry my skin out?
It is not built to. Five ceramides, ten types of hyaluronic acid and allantoin are in there specifically so a deep cleanse does not leave you tight.
