A gauze sheet, not the usual fabric. Isntree's Mugwort Calming Gauze Mask uses a soft gauze carrier soaked in mugwort extract — the weave holds more essence and sits lightly on skin that is too sore for anything heavier.

Why gauze

Gauze holds essence differently from standard non-woven sheets: it stays wetter for longer and feels cooler on the skin, which matters when the problem is heat and redness rather than dryness.

Mugwort for sensitivity

Mugwort extract is the entire point of this mask. Rather than layering multiple actives, the formula keeps to one calming ingredient at meaningful concentration — the right approach when skin is already reacting and every extra component is another thing that might set it off.

Who it's for

Sensitive, reactive skin during a flare-up; post-sun redness; skin recovering from a strong active. See more options in Sensitive Skin.

How to use

After cleansing and toner, apply the mask to clean skin and smooth it flat. Leave fifteen to twenty minutes, remove, then pat the remaining essence in. Follow with moisturizer. Use two or three times a week, or daily during a bad flare-up.

The fridge trick

Store a few in the fridge. Cold gauze is significantly more effective on heat, flushing and post-sun redness than a room-temperature sheet — the temperature drop constricts surface vessels and takes down visible redness faster than the formula alone. Ten minutes in the fridge before use is enough.

FAQ

Can I use it every day?
Yes, for short recovery periods. As a routine habit, two or three times a week is enough.

Can I keep it in the fridge?
Yes, and it is worth doing — cold gauze is noticeably more effective on heat and redness.

Do I rinse afterwards?
No. Pat in what is left and carry on with your routine.

Is it good for acne-prone skin?
Yes. Mugwort calms without clogging, though patch test if you are very reactive.
