Ganghwa County is the reference region for Korean mugwort, the way Jeju is for green tea. The concentration here is high enough that the mask smells and looks like the plant rather than a perfumed cream.

Unlike clay masks, this one will not strip. It is formulated to be used as often as your skin needs it, which makes it useful during a sustained flare-up rather than only as a weekly treat.

How to use

After cleansing, apply an even layer to dry skin, avoiding eyes and lips. Leave ten to fifteen minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water. Follow with toner and moisturizer. Daily if needed, or two to three times a week as maintenance.

The scent and texture

It smells strongly herbal and looks dark green — both come from the mugwort itself, not from added fragrance or colour. The texture is thick and slightly grainy from the plant matter. None of this indicates a problem with the product; a mugwort mask that smells of nothing has very little mugwort in it.

Can I really use it every day?
Yes. It calms rather than exfoliates, so daily use during a flare-up is fine.

Can I sleep in it?
Not recommended — it is designed to be rinsed. For overnight care, use a sleeping mask instead.
