A toner is not a cleanser and it is not there to strip anything. Its job is to leave your face damp and receptive so that everything after it has something to hold on to. Skip it and you are applying hydration to a dry surface, which is exactly when hydration works least.

The BRTC Hydra Daily Toner is 120ml of water-gel type toner built on 10 kinds of Hyaluronic Acid — the opening step of the Hydra Daily routine.

What's In It

A Nano Hyaluronic Acid Booster strengthens the skin barrier, and Panthenol creates a moisture barrier over dry skin. Centella Asiatica Extract soothes irritated skin — that is what the toner brings that the essence and cream do not.

The water-gel texture matters here: it is more substantial than a watery toner, so it hydrates rather than just wetting the skin.

How to Use It

1. Use straight after cleansing, while your face is still damp.
2. Apply with your hands and press it in. A cotton pad wastes product and adds friction.
3. Do not wait for it to dry.
4. Follow with essence, then cream, while skin is still damp.
5. Morning and evening.

Questions

What is a water-gel toner?
Thicker than a standard watery toner, so it delivers more hydration in the same step rather than just prepping the skin.

Does a toner strip your skin?
Old-style astringent toners did. This is a hydrating toner — if yours leaves your face tight, that is the problem, not toners in general.

Hands or cotton pad?
Hands. Less product wasted, less friction, and you can press it in properly.

Do I need all three Hydra Daily steps?
No. They layer if you want them to, and each adds a different soothing ingredient — centella here, dill in the essence, ceramide NP in the cream.
