Cleansing water is the step you do when you cannot face a full routine. So the only things that matter are: is it gentle, and is there enough of it. This is 500ml — roughly double the usual bottle — and it is built to be mild rather than efficient.

The Numbers on the Bottle

pH 5.42. Healthy skin sits slightly acidic, around 4.7–5.75. A cleanser in that range works with the skin's surface instead of against it, which is the opposite of the tight, squeaky feeling a high-pH soap leaves behind.

No synthetic surfactants. That is the claim that matters most here and the reason it rinses soft rather than stripped. It is also the reason it will not shift a full face of long-wear makeup — see below.

Green tangerine extract at 50,000ppm — that is 5% of the formula. Jeju green tangerine is picked before the fruit ripens to orange, when the polyphenol content is at its highest. It is the same fruit as the tangerine in your fruit bowl, harvested at a different moment.

How to Use It

1. Saturate a cotton pad — properly. A dry pad drags.
2. Press it onto the eye or lip area and hold for a few seconds before wiping. Let the product do the work.
3. Sweep gently. Repeat with a fresh pad if needed.
4. Follow with a water-based cleanser, or rinse, depending on your day.
5. Toner while the skin is damp, then moisturizer.

Questions

Do I need to rinse it off?
With no synthetic surfactants there is less to leave behind, so many people do not. If your skin feels at all filmy, rinse. Nothing is lost by rinsing.

Will it remove waterproof mascara and long-wear foundation?
Not reliably. Water-based cleansers struggle with oil-based makeup — that is chemistry, not a flaw in the bottle. Use an oil or balm first and this second.

Is green tangerine the same as vitamin C?
Not the same thing. Citrus extracts are associated with dullness and tone, but an extract in a rinse-off cleanser is not comparable to a stabilised vitamin C serum left on the skin.

Why does pH 5.42 matter?
Because skin's own surface is slightly acidic. A cleanser near that range tends to leave skin comfortable rather than tight.
