Benton Deep Green Tea Cleansing Foam — Clean Without the Tight Feeling
The squeaky-clean feeling everyone was taught to want is actually the sound of a stripped barrier. If your face feels tight after washing, the cleanser took more than it should have, and your skin will spend the next hour producing oil to fix what you did to it.
The Benton Deep Green Tea Cleansing Foam is 120g built for the opposite: a gentle, hypoallergenic formula that cleanses thoroughly, balances pH, and does not strip your skin's natural oils.
What's In It
Green tea extract soothes sensitive skin while you wash — a rare thing in a cleanser, which usually just removes and leaves.
Camellia oil nourishes and moisturizes, which is why skin feels comfortable rather than squeaky afterwards.
Who It's For
Sensitive skin, and anyone whose face feels tight after cleansing. It removes makeup and impurities while keeping skin hydrated.
This is step one of the Deep Green Tea line — the Deep Green Tea Toner and Deep Green Tea Lotion follow. Benton's other cleansers are the Honest Cleansing Foam, a gentle daily wash, and the live AC BHA Foam Cleansing for acne control. All in the Benton collection.

How to Use It
- Wet your face with lukewarm water. Not hot — heat strips skin.
- Lather a small amount in your hands first, then apply. Neat foam on skin is harsher than foam.
- Massage gently for around 30 seconds.
- Rinse thoroughly.
- Go straight into toner while skin is still damp.
If you wear makeup or sunscreen, use an oil-based cleanser first. A foam alone does not remove waterproof SPF, and that is the most common gap in a routine.
Questions
Will it remove my makeup?
It removes makeup and impurities, but for a full face or waterproof sunscreen, use an oil cleanser first and this second.
Which Benton cleanser should I get?
Deep Green Tea for sensitive skin that needs calming. Honest Cleansing Foam for a gentle daily wash. AC BHA Foam Cleansing for acne control.
Why does pH matter?
Healthy skin is slightly acidic. A cleanser that pushes it alkaline leaves skin tight and takes hours to recover from. This one is formulated not to.
Is it good for dry skin?
Yes. Camellia oil nourishes as it cleanses, so it does not leave that stripped feeling.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will a cleansing foam remove my makeup and sunscreen?
Not on its own. Modern sunscreen is built to survive water, which means it survives a foam. Use an oil-based cleanser first and this second.
My face feels tight after washing. Is that normal?
No, and it is worth fixing. That squeaky-clean feeling is a stripped barrier, not cleanliness, and your skin will produce more oil afterwards to compensate. A cleanser should leave skin comfortable.
Which Benton cleanser should I choose?
Deep Green Tea Cleansing Foam for sensitive skin that needs calming. Honest Cleansing Foam for a gentle daily wash. AC BHA Foam Cleansing for acne control.
