mixsoon — Korean skincare with ingredient lists you can actually read
Most skincare is sold on abundance. Twelve actives, a patented complex, a name with a trademark on it. mixsoon does the opposite, on purpose: one hero ingredient per product, in a formula short enough to read on the back of the bottle, named after the thing that is actually in it. Centella Toner. Soybean Milk Serum. Reishi Mushroom Essence. There is no decoding to do.
The brand was founded in 2020 by Soondy, a Korean creator known for a minimalist routine — her name is still on the Soondy Centella Asiatica Essence. The name is a fusion of mix and soon (純), the Korean word for purity: a blend of purity. Formulas run without fragrance or artificial color, and the range is free of animal testing. Why a short ingredient list is worth paying for
Here it is plainly: a short formula is diagnostic.
If a twelve-active serum breaks you out, you have learned nothing — you cannot tell which of the twelve did it, so you throw out the bottle and start over. If a product built around centella breaks you out, you have learned something durable about your own skin, and you carry it to every other brand you ever buy.

Start with Bean Essence
If you know one mixsoon product, it is the Bean Essence — the fermented soybean essence the brand was built on, seven ingredients, and the one that made it travel outside Korea. It sits between a toner and a serum, and it is the entry point most people should take. The 30ml exists so you can find out cheaply whether your skin agrees.
The Bean line has grown around it: a toner, a toner pad, a cleansing oil, a cream, an eye cream, a mist, a stick balm, sun care, a weekly mask, and a travel kit.
You do not need all of it. An essence and a cream is a complete routine.
Is Bean Essence the same as Mung Bean Seed Essence?
No — and half the internet gets this wrong. Bean Essence is fermented soybean, at 92.6%. Mung Bean Seed Essence is mung bean, at 82%, and it is the calming one for hot, reactive skin.

The powders
Niacinamide, collagen and vitamin C, in single-dose 100mg sachets you mix into whatever you already use. It is the brand philosophy taken to its logical end: instead of buying a whole new product for one active, you add the active.
It also solves the vitamin C problem — vitamin C degrades in water, so a powder you mix fresh is doing what a months-open bottle cannot. The trade: you control the freshness, but not the final concentration or pH.
Daily Mask Pack, by weekday
Sheet masks labelled Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, plus a seven-day set — which is also the only way to get Monday and Friday, since those are not sold on their own.
It is aimed at the actual problem with sheet masks, which is that people buy them and then do not use them. Printing a day on the sachet turns a mask from an event into a Tuesday — and the set is the cheap way to find out which day your skin likes before buying that one in tens.
